Work with city agencies to provide clear, safe and identifiable entrances to Golden Gate Park.

Last year, our office worked closely with the SF Recreation and Parks Department (RPD) to assess the cost and feasibility of adding signage to all of the entrances to Golden Gate Park along Lincoln Way. RPD included this project in their budget this year, and staff at RPD are currently working on creating a project timeline for implementation. The proposal includes:

  • Pedestrian entrance – includes GGP pedestrian map sign, regulatory sign, and landscape improvements at 20th Avenue, 30th Avenue, 34th Avenue, 45th Avenue and La Playa Street.

  • Vehicular entrance – includes GGP engraved boulder, pedestrian map sign, regulatory sign, potential large wayfinding signage for vehicles, and landscape improvements at 25th Avenue and 41st Avenue.
