In partnership with the San Francisco Neighborhood Emergency Response Team (SF NERT), incorporate emergency preparedness training at neighborhood schools.

The youth who live or go to school in the Sunset District are essential populations that should be made aware of potential emergency situations and educated about emergency preparedness and response. Our office has begun to outreach to youth representatives in order to lay the foundation for partnership opportunities between SF NERT and schools in District 4. We have included youth representation on our Resilient Sunset steering committee. We will also be working with our District 4 representative on the Youth Commission and our newly-established Youth Council to directly inform and encourage youth of opportunities to take emergency preparedness training. Finally, we will connect SF NERT with our Sunset District schools to facilitate student-focused emergency preparedness trainings.
